Usability is the ease of use and learnability of a human-made object. It includes methods of measuring usability and the study of the principles behind an object's perceived efficiency or elegance.  Usability differs from user satisfaction and user experience because usability also considers usefulness and function.

International Ergonomics Association defines ergonomics or human factors as: Ergonomics (or human factors) is the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance.

Leede Research has been recognized by technology guru Forrester Research as one of the top companies nationally for usability testing.  We offered one of the first publicly available u-labs at our Minneapolis facility over 10 years ago.  In 2013 we renewed our commitment to high quality usability testing by opening a new lab in Minneapolis at the West End.

Usability in the product development process can offer a new and added dimension to product design and improvement.  It can look at the way the user interacts with your product and improve functionality.  The process can help identify factors that the consumer often cannot verbalize.  It can also help to better understand the true role of new features and technology in consumer usage.

Leede has a pool of usability professionals who have expertise in a variety of categories and verticals.  We can place work across the country or access localized panels at each of our offices.  Our goal is simple, provide clients with strong project designs generating actionable information to improve your products.
